The month of November brought several Admin and Rider web updates. Among them, the TripShot Product Team made improvements to the On Demand User Ride Cancellation Reasons among others.
The month of November brought several Admin and Rider web updates. Among them, the TripShot Product Team made improvements to the On Demand User Ride Cancellation Reasons, requiring the user to identify a reason for cancellation upon canceling a ride request and offering the ability to add notes about the cancellation. More updates were related to using the driver's location for ETA once they have accepted the shift, supporting multiple badge mappings, and updates to valet among others.
Web Updates
Admin Web - 2023-11-13
New
- Use the driver's location for ETA once they have accepted the shift. This will make the ETA more accurate for the first request in each On Demand or Flex ride since it will use the driver's actual location when calculating the ETA instead of the start point.
Improve
- Create WatchDog to shutdown ExaTMS when it shows signs of being overrun by GC. Performance improvement work.
- Upgrade jetty. SSO SAML update.
- On Demand User Ride Cancellation Reasons. This will require a user to select a cancellation reason when canceling an On Demand request. The user can also still add notes about the cancellation. The cancellation reason and note also show up in the user requests report. If a dispatcher cancels the request via the admin web, the rider will also receive a cancellation notification. The cancellation reason for the rider app is forthcoming.
- Configurable fare classes for Parking. Parking Lots now support assigning a fare class within the Parking Lot form.
- Remove "gtfs_sharing" Experiment Flag got Integrated Services project. Removes the “gtfs_sharing” experiment flag as Instance Management settings now manage this in production.
- Submitting Rider Feedback does not associate the rider with the produced incident. This ticket is to correct a backend issue experienced when riders submit feedback via the rider app. Now when riders submit feedback via the rider app, the incident created as a result will be mapped properly to the rider’s unique Rider ID within TripShot. The rider’s ID and email will also now be populated within the Incidents workflow within the admin console.
- Update "Use Condensed Route View" text/UI and remove the condensedRouteView experiment flag. Improved setting title from “Use condensed route view” to “Show route short names to riders”. Reminder - this setting is OFF by default.
- Include Full Name column in Badging Reports. Added “Full Name” column to the Badging Events report to assist with troubleshooting.
Fix
- Update v2/badgeData and v4/badgeData to support multiple badge mappings. Support multiple badge mapping to same user in v2/badgeData endpoint and v4/badgeData endpoint.
- Previously selected parking lot's fare class is displayed when the admin clicks on the 'New parking lot' button on the 'Parking' page. Correcting behavior to display the appropriate fare class.

- Valet ticketing landing web page should be scrollable. Valet - When accessing an associated Valet Ticket via SMS link, the landing page is now scrollable.
- Valet | Placard Prefix & Placard changes. Valet - Model change to Placard Prefix and Placards; now a many-to-many relation. Placard prefixes will no longer be an entity and become an array of strings separated by a comma. This allows for flexibility in the configuration of a valet service.
- Valet | Move Valet Reports to Reporting Tab in Valet Module. Valet - Valet Reports have been moved from the general reporting tab to a Reports tab within the Valet module.
- Valet | Update Valet Module Icon in Admin Web.

- Remove the search role from the search boxes. Accessibility work that removes the search role from search boxes that prevents viewing in forms mode using a screen reader.
Admin Web - 2023-11-30

- Move "walkOnReservations" as an Experimental flag. Released, however sunsetting the experiment is dependent on the next Driver App release.
- Include the user on demand ride cancelations reasons in the onDemandBootData. This will include a list of all the user on demand ride cancellation reasons in the onDemandBootData so mobile apps know what reasons are available. One of the reasons for doing this is that in the future, we can create instance-specific cancellation reasons.
- Add Versioned OD Endpoints to API Doc. Adding additional On Demand endpoints to the API documentation.
- Set aria-hidden on all iframes generated by FormPanel, replace FormPanel, or stop using iframes for those panels. Accessibility improvements.
- Improve admin and rider logo alt text or hide entirely from assistive technologies. Accessibility work that ensures images provide informative alternative text. (Missed the previous milestone)
- Support multiple vehicle DVIR templates (V1). This ticket is to track the creation of a new tab and functionality within the DVIR workflow in TripShot. A new tab has been added to the admin console called DVIR Templates, which will be hidden behind an experiment flag until a new Driver App version is released later in Q4 2023.
- "Redeemed External Codes" Report - Update Values for "Region" and "Employment Type" at the Time of Redemption. Update to report columns “Region” and “Employment Type” to display values of these entities at the time of redemption vs. the policy parameters.
- Upgrade samlservice dependencies. Backend upgrade to samlservice dependencies including Braintree major version update. Payments functionality tested and approved by QA.
Fix
- Error page gets displayed while trying to Initial & Reset Schedule under Flex>>Manage page. This was due to the staging instance having 197 regions. Once the extra flex services were removed, this issue resolved itself.
- Admin console attempts to load /v1/pay/fareClass before user is authenticated. Backend improvement

- Valet | Keyboxes changes. Valet - Model change to Key Boxes; now a many-to-many relation. This allows for flexibility in the configuration of a valet service.
- Possible changes in the Valet Attendant admin app after Product#7401. Valet - Supplementary front-end work. Key boxes no longer mandatory and Key boxes can be shared between services.
- No details are displayed when same date is provided in the 'Start Day' & 'End day' for 'Summary' report on 'Valet >> Report' page. Fixes an issue where no details were displayed when identical dates are used within a date range.
- 'UNKNOWN' displayed when admin attempts to create keybox on 'Valet >> Keyboxes' page. Valet - Bug fix when a user receives an error creating a keybox.
