Admins now have more control over the appearance of points of interest, the setting of parking lot hours and details and more.
This month, the TripShot product team supported improvements to the Rider App for iOS and Android as well as updates to the Admin Web. Admins now have more control over the appearance of points of interest, the setting of parking lot hours and details and more.
TripShot also released an improved user interface for the routes and timetables tile. This included improvements to the user interface and user experience of schedule appearance in the Rider App. When riders select a route, they will now see an improved routes timetable view. This includes a full-page view of our redesigned routes timetable and the map available via toggle as it is today. Additionally, we recently increased the tray height when a route is selected so that the reserve button is visible without the need to swipe up.
The new timetable layout will allow transit managers to visually indicate timepoints and non-timepoints in the admin platform so riders can see if a shuttle will be stopping according to scheduled times or only stopping if passengers are present. With this improvement we also now have updated views for rides that are on a looped schedule
iOS Updates
Rider App - 2022-06-15
- Google POIs can be hidden by default. The Rider App layers icon will now display a toggle to turn on/off Google points of interest.
- A11y remediation: Improve loading/refresh accessibility on iOS and Android.
- Support for displaying Parking Lot Operating Hours. We recently launched the backend/frontend Admin ability to set Operating Hours for Parking Lots. This will now bubble up on the Rider app.
- Collect Vanpool trip GPS accuracy.
- Trip Planners' "No Transfer" Toggle Not Saving On IOS Rider App.

- Implement New Routes/Timetable UI Tile. Improve UI/UX of Timetables, improve schedule appearance for routes with looping, support non Time Points (a stop in which has no expected time).
- Improve Routes table view when a Protection is assigned. From a riders perspective, the ride will run so another row with "canceled" state should not be shown.

Web Updates
Admin Web - 2022-06-15
- Amano OPUS Integration. Gate arm integration. Admins will need to use this feature to set up the lots to use the new integration. Riders will need to use this feature to show a code to the gate arm to gain access to the lot.
- Importing stops from a GTFS file leaves the Stop lat/long field blank.
- Improve the appearance of User Groups/Deleted User Groups in Wallet module.
- Service environment discovery. The mobile apps don't know which environment an instance lives in, requiring it to hardcode certain instance names. We will now have the mobile app discover the right environment based only on the instance name or alias.
- Report for Rider App Usage.
- Enable Vendor Managers The Ability To Upload Manual Tallies.
