July included new updates, improvements and fixes to the TripShot Rider App, Driver App and Admin Web. An important update is new fixes related to TripShot's Parking feature.
The month of July included new updates, improvements and fixes to the TripShot Rider App, Driver App and Admin Web. An important update is new fixes related to TripShot's Parking feature. Now, parking directions in the Rider App automatically select driving and directs the user to the Trip Planner. Parking Lot behaviors have also been improved. Now, it is more clearly denoted when a Parking Lot is Open 24 hours.
Route timetables have also been updated to be shown in the Rider App based on the current time. The route timetable results will show the next ride based on the current time, rather than showing the first time for that trip.
iOS Updates
Rider App - 2022-07-19
New
- Support account deletion in rider app. Section 5.1 (v) of Apple's new App Store requirements requires that a user be able to delete their account from within the app. There is now a new option under Settings called "Delete account".
Improve
- Navigating to Parking > Directions should choose mode "driving". When a rider selects Rider App > Parking Lot > Directions, this takes the rider to the Trip Planner. The current behavior is to have Travel Mode selected to Walk which often shows incorrect results since there are no shuttles running. The correct behavior is to have the Travel Mode set to Drive.
- Present the route timetables on the Rider App based on current time. The route time table results will show the next ride based on current time, rather than showing the first time for that trip.
- Update behavior of Parking Lot hours for 12 AM - 12 AM. Now when any parking with Start & End time hours is set to 12 AM to 12 AM, then under the TSR Stage app it shows 'Open 24 hours' instead of 12 AM to 12 AM (next day). When any parking with Start & End time hours is set to 1 AM to 12 AM, then under the TSR Stage app it shows like 1 AM to 12 AM(next day). When any parking with Start & End time hours is set to 2 AM to 12 PM, then under the TSR Stage app it shows like 2 AM to 12 PM.

- Parking Lot Hours - Admin Tweaks to Support Rider App Launch. Removing the experiment flag “parkinglothours” to give access to lot hours to any client with Parking turned on.
- Add RegionID and RegionName in Parking reports.
- Replace WasInconceivable error with a "ride closed" error.
- Dashboards | Ridership by Ride Separate Rides with Same Time.
- Update reservation report column. Change “By” and “At” column to “State Modified By” and “State Modified At”. Order will be “State”, “State Modified By”, “State Modified At”.
- Add additional column(s) to indicate WHO updated the reservation state on Reservation Reports. Adding an additional column in the reservations report for State Modified By. In this column we should bubble up WHO made the state change. Whether it was System, Users. Additionally, we want to modify the "At" column to be State Modified At.
Rider Web - 2022-07-20

- A11y remediation: Announce modified from/to on rider web trip planner screen. Under Trip Planner tab, select from and to location. The narrator should say "Showing results from X to Y".
- A11y remediation: capture focus in dialogs. Route subscription editor dialog. Screen reader to announce “Set Notification view is up”. Reverse tabbing shifts focus to the last element/option in the Set Notification pop up. Now focus is set to the “Cancel” button when opening the Set Notification pop up,
- Vanpool History not Loading/taking too long to load.
