We're kicking off 2023 with some product updates! Our team has been working hard and this month they released updates to both the iOS Rider App and the admin web portal.
We're kicking off 2023 with some product updates! Our team has been working hard and this month they released updates to both the iOS Rider App and the admin web portal.
Notably, in the admin portal users will now be required to use a Region when creating an On Demand Zone and creating a New Region can be done with a physical address instead of GPS coordinates.
On Demand work and Fixed Route work will no longer be able to exist together in one shift assignment. If you currently use “mixed shifts” we will continue to support those shifts.

iOS Updates
Rider App - 2023-01-12
- A11y Remediation: Support Dynamic Type in iOS Rider App.
- Home card peek view does not allow toggling bottom sheet on iOS when using Voice Over or Switch Control. iOS16 support improvements.
- UIScrollView inside partially expanded bottom sheet will not scroll all the way down when using Switch Control. This was reported against Nearby Stops but can occur on any bottom sheet including the Home Screen. Correcting scrolling issues when many tiles are visible.
Web Updates
Admin Web - 2023-01-12
- Require regions on all OD zones. We will now require a Region when creating OD zones.
- Incidents - Implement option to filter incidents by "Region". We’ve added a Region selector button in the Incidents module. PreAlso added a Region column in the list view to help indicate the region that the incident is associated with.
- Creating a new Region should allow physical addresses and not require GPS coordinates. Searching by Physical addresses now works and GPS coordinates are not required. When selecting a physical address from the dropdown, the address will be converted to lat/long.
- Do not allow mixing OnDemand and Fixed Route when creating a Shift assignment. On Demand work and Fixed Route work will no longer be able to exist together in one shift assignment. If you currently use “mixed shifts” we will still support those shifts. When attempting to add mixed work, we will now display a message of: You can only add assignments that have a ride type of “On Demand/Fixed Route” to this shift.
- Add the ability to pre-schedule announcements. We can now pre-schedule announcements. Available fields are Date, Time, and Time Zone.
- "Overridden" is misspelled. UI spelling enhancements.
- Customer with too many Excluded dates require scrolling in Admin Web > Routes view. To reduce scrolling, we’ve added a “Show Future Dates Only” checkbox.
- Rider Notifications report does not include Announcements sent to email addresses. This has been corrected and we will now show announcements sent to email addresses in the Rider Notifications Report.
