Dive into our March product updates! These include new functionalities to support our latest feature, FlexRide. The FlexRide Waitlist capabilities for the TripShot Rider App allow the rider to join a ranked choice waitlist. Also, the product team made important updates to support electric vehicle fleets, including dispatch alerts when mileage is low, constrained by "max range" and "current range."
This was a month of intense focus on supporting our customers and moving fleets into the future of transportation demand management. These product updates contribute to a technology solution that is powering more flexible and sustainable transportation. Take a look at the details below.
iOS Updates
Rider App - 2024-03-01
New
- Adding Waitlist functionality for FlexRides. This will allow the rider to join a ranked choice waitlist.
Rider App - 2024-03-14
Fix
- Fix iOS Rider Deep Linking. Configuration correction to fix deep linking with iOS.
Android Updates
Rider App - 2024-03-01
New
- Adding Waitlist functionality for FlexRides. This will allow the rider to join a ranked choice waitlist.

- Fix Favorite Route Removal. Correcting behavior to allow the removal of Favorite Routes.
Web Updates
Admin Web - 2024-03-08
New
- Trigger Dispatch Alert if EV vehicle does not have enough available miles. Adds new property to vehicles called “max range” and “current range” where current range may not be available for all vehicles. If total travel exceeds max range an alert will be generated. Vehicles associated with Viriciti/Chargepoint, max range/current range are synced and manual inputs are prevented.
- Do not allow manual rescheduling of OD user rides if they are associated with Flex. This will hide the reschedule button for FlexRide requests as they are scheduled via the batch scheduler.
Improve
- Support Multiple Yard Actions in Driver Assignments. When creating a yard a user can now select the yard action. This will allow the driver to see the yard location and yard action, currently users are creating multiple yards at the same location to represent the yard action. Ticket, which has not been released yet, will allow the yard action to be displayed in the driver app.
- Extending Reservation Plans Should Not Impact Waitlist Positions. Extending reservation plans now do not impact waitlist positions.
Admin Web - 2024-03-08
Fix
- 'Reset' button should work fine for the 'Billable Entity' text field on the 'Settings >> Instance Management' page. Correcting the ability for proper Reset functionality for the Billable Entity field.
- Error page is displayed when admin saves new/existing vehicle with blank 'Estimated MPG' field on 'Resources>> Vehicles' page. An error page will now not be displayed when an admin saves a new/existing vehicle with a blank 'Estimated MPG' field on 'Resources>> Vehicles' page.
- Track down resource leaking in api servers. Correcting behavior where app servers serving general api calls consume more resources over time until restarted.

- Valet | Ticket Viewer Add Service Filter. Adds a service filter to the Valet Ticket Viewer. When utilized, respective services of selected regions will be displayed to user.
- Valet | Keyboxes Selecting Include Deleted Improvement [Front End]. Improves “included deleted” filter results when accessing Valet > Keyboxes. Now when selecting “include deleted” will appropriately display keyboxes that were deleted with “deleted” annotation.
- Valet | Reports Region Filter Defect. Fixes region filter defect on valet reports that displayed inaccurate results.
Admin Web - 2024-03-25
Improve
- Turn the Post Pay Balance Notifications experiment flag pay-notices to an instance level experiment flag. This will show a notification when the user has a negative balance. The Post Pay Balance Notifications under settings -> Admin Alerts will need to be set up.
- Support sending Announcements to users with favorited routes. Backend work to support sending announcements to users with favorited routes.
- Automatically split shifts after Optibus import. Automating the splitting of shifts when shift contains multiple rides, each ride containing a yard header and a yard footer

- 500 error when requesting anonymous user on demand ride in stage-a2. This will show a message instead of an error when making requests for anonymous riders in instances where a wallet is required.
