April updates include the ability for the Driver to update or increase the rider counts at pickup. Drivers will now have the ability to increase ridership counts for all seat types
April updates include the ability for On Demand drivers to update or increase the rider counts at pickup. On Demand drivers will now have the ability to increase ridership counts for all seat types at the point of pickup. Drivers will receive an error if attempting to increase the ridership count above vehicle capacity. This will also take into account the impact of pooled rides to the vehicle capacity.
Another update is the On Demand Pause Timer Count Up in Dispatch. This feature adds a count-up timer in dispatch to monitor the duration of driver-initiated pauses. Add Isolated to the On Demand requests screens in dispatching and user rides on the On Demand screen. You can see which requests are isolated in the dispatch screen and in the On Demand -> User Rides screen.
iOS Updates
Driver App - 2024-04-10
New
- The driver app will now support the following Yard Actions to further guide drivers through their day. Driver Check-In, Driver Check Out, Pre-Trip Inspection, Post-Trip Inspection, Depart From, Arrive At, Fueling, Clock In, and Clock Out.
- Automatically log out the driver when the session is revoked. Driver will now be automatically logged out after a change to the Driver Pin from the Admin Console.

This will also show in the Badge Events report under the Rejection Reason column.

Admin Web - 2024-04-24

- Improvement Request - Create a boolean field for users to hide the Flex, On Demand Tile by the user. This will allow admins to control which product tiles can be seen in the rider app. We are starting with the On Demand and FlexRide tiles but this feature will be extended to other products. There is a forthcoming case to set this automatically via user creation rules.

- Support option to automatically cancel rides of shifts that have not been checked in after a delay. Navigating to the Settings >> Instance Management page, two new options are available: Auto CheckIn (min), and Auto Cancel (sec). Note: these items can be updated on the instance by creating a Task ticket for Implementation & Training to update.

- Store and expose invalid badge reason. This will store the invalid badge reasons of “NotInDatabase” and “MissingReservation”. This will also display the rejection reason in the Badge Events report.
- Allow Users to be Created in the Admin Portal without a Password. This creates a setting on the Create New Users page that allows users to be created without providing a password. Admins should understand that if the flag is turned on, these users will not be able to log into the TripShot apps.
- Bring back SFMTA RideLink. Fixes issues where rides were not able to be restarted.
- Custom fields in Incident form. This feature will allow you to create custom fields for incidents. You can add in the custom field when creating the incident type. Currently, this can only be a text field. The custom fields will automatically appear in the Incidents screen if the incidents of that type are being displayed.
Beta
- Valet | Announcements [Front End]. Valet now supports sending announcements to Valet users in selectable services and states enabling administrators to communicate messages effectively.
- Valet | Investigation of Data Discrepancy Between Reports and Ticket Viewer. Implementation/UX notes: Bug fix where Reporting and Ticket Viewer results were not in alignment.
Admin Web - 2024-04-19

- Switch backend and Admin Web to use TT Google API Key. Slow roll-out of new key for mapping.
- Automate bounce processing from AWS SES. Automating and setting a policy to suppress any such email with a new suppression type of 'Reported'.
- Improve Performance of Importing Large GTFS feeds. Improves performance of importing large GTFS feeds.
- Add Yard Actions to Run Sheets. The Run Sheets will now display the yard actions that are set in assignments.
- Fix the Wallet Aging report and overdue balance notifications. This fixes an issue with the wallet aging report where the aging report was not matching the wallet balance.
- Changes to rider notices should be recorded in the audit log. Changes to rider notices will now be recorded in the Audit Log report.
- Visibility/Alert for Declined Recurring Ride Requests This feature will generate alerts in dispatching for recurring On Demand requests that were not able to be scheduled. Currently, a dispatcher needs to manually check if a recurring request was scheduled or wait for the rider to contact the dispatcher center that they do not have a ride scheduled for that day.

- Correctly display On Demand passenger counts for car seats, and bicycles - Admin web. We are refreshing the capacity type icons for On Demand on the admin web screen. We are also adding in the improvement of making the capacity icons only appear when there is a passenger request for that capacity type.

- Fix for Completed OD Rides Showing Partial Polyline Issue. This fix resolves the issue where completed OD rides showed partial polylines.
- Additional capacity checks for On Demand pickup. This will add in additional capacity checks when the driver records additional passengers at pickup. The capacity checks also factor in pooled requests. If the capacity is exceeded the driver will receive the message above.
- Reoccurring OD Trips are being marked as 'Anonymous Rider' when saving. This fixes an issue where recurring requests were being saved and an 'Anonymous Rider' instead of the actual rider name.
- Error page is displayed when a user attempts to complete the self-signup process with phone number exceeding 100 characters. Adding in a max count and proper error messaging.
Beta
- Valet | Add ValetTicketEntry to the commute journal. Backend support to add ValetTicketEntry to Commute Journal to be able to list Valet Tickets under My Trips within TSR.
- Valet | Valet Ticket Events to Include Valet Attendant User and Device. Backend work that now will include Valet Attendant and Device details for each event. Work to surface in UI where events are displayed and within reporting forthcoming.
- Valet | Open up valet endpoints for the regular rider role. Backend support requires opening up valet endpoints for the regular rider roles in order to retrieve their own tickets, request EV charging, retrieve valet services, retrieve after hours boxes, request, etc.
- Valet | /v1/parking/status endpoints should include valet service information. Backed support to be able to display information about valet services within a parking lot.

- Add Runs On Column to the Assignments tab. For those using Advanced Assignments, a new column will be visible showing the days of the week a Fixed Route Ride runs.
Rider Web - 2024-04-24

- Support Wallet/Payment functionality on Rider Web. This will allow riders to view their transactions, refill their balance and add payment methods without having to use the TripShot Rider app. This will need to be enabled via an experiment flag.

- Finishing Trip Options in rider we should auto-focus back on something. Changes the focus of the screen to the ‘Depart at’ option after navigating to trip options and then saving the changes.
- Backend, admin web, and rider web support for collecting rider phones at signup. Adding the ability to collect rider phone numbers at signup.
Fix
- Adding a balance of less than $2 in rider web wallet, shows an inappropriate validation message. Updated the error message when a user tries to fund less than the minimum amount of $2 to “Error funding balance - $2.00 minimum required.”

- Switch Rider Web, System Map, Driver Web to new Google Maps key and version 3.55. In the "international" release Admin console was switched to the new Google Maps key and version 3.55. This ticket follows up by doing the same to the other 3 web applications.
